FAQs

Which H&K carrier is suitable for a newborn?

Haus & Kinder offers two carriers suitable for newborns—the Enlace Baby Wrap Carrier, which is soft and non-structured, and the Nubee Baby Carrier, which provides gentle structure and support. Both are safe for newborns, so you can choose the one that feels most comfortable for your carrying style.

Are all H&K baby carriers suitable for different body types?

Yes. All Haus & Kinder baby carriers are designed to fit a wide range of body types. With adjustable shoulder straps and waist belts, each carrier provides a secure and comfortable fit for both the wearer and the baby.

How long can my baby stay in the carrier?

There is no fixed time limit for babywearing. Most parents comfortably use the carrier for 30 minutes to 2 hours at a time, depending on their baby's age and comfort. We recommend taking regular breaks, checking your baby's position, and ensuring they remain comfortable throughout.

Are all H&K baby carriers washable?

Yes, all Haus & Kinder baby carriers are washable. We recommend washing them with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle. If you are using a hip seat carrier, simply remove the seat insert before washing the fabric portion.

Are the carriers suitable for long hours of use?

Yes. Our ergonomic carriers are designed to distribute your baby's weight evenly across your shoulders and waist, helping reduce strain during extended use. They are ideal for daily outings, shopping, travel, walks, and other everyday activities.

Is the carrier difficult to wear?

Not at all. All Haus & Kinder carriers are designed for easy solo wear, allowing you to put them on and take them off without assistance. You can also refer to our "How to Wear" videos for step-by-step guidance.

When can I start using a hip seat carrier?

We recommend using a hip seat carrier from around 5 months of age, once your baby has developed good head, neck, and core strength and is beginning to sit with support. Since every baby develops differently, it's always best to follow your baby's developmental milestones rather than age alone.

What is the best carrying position for a newborn?

For newborns, the inward-facing position is the safest and most comfortable as it keeps your baby close to you while providing proper support for their head, neck, and spine. Once your baby has developed good head and neck control, usually around 4 to 5 months, you can begin using the outward-facing position for short periods if your carrier supports it.
